2020 was not a year that we want our children to repeat. It was a year of lockdown; of choosing between their friends and their health; of tragedy and anxiety.
So in January, we asked some of our children what they hoped 2021 would bring. Nearly all said they wanted to go back to school, to learn and be with their friends. Many asked for a Covid cure; and prayed for the world to heal.
It’s touching that these children want to ease the pain of the world. They’ve experienced such trauma in their young lives – and Covid has only added to their stresses.
